Here is what one of our customers says:
"Hi Eugene
I wish to acknowledge my thanks for a job well done on the recent build of our new Mitre 10 Mega store in Hastings. Your pricing was competitive and the quality of the equipment and workmanship was excellent.
The size of the store at about 11,500 m2 is large, and the timeframe we allowed for its completion was relatively short, but your firm managed the project efficiently and in a timely manner, enabling us to open at our predetermined time.
At all times the cooperation between yourselves, the other contractors on site and with us was exemplary. This was a major project for us, but it was made easy because of the approach you and your team took.
We have now moved all of our work at our other local sites into your care, because of your clear expertise and ability in this area."
Many thanks
Stephen

BUILDING WOF'S
HSM have IQP (Independent Qualified Persons) registered staff
for performing your building warrant of fitness needs.
Building owners are legally responsible for keeping their
buildings safe and healthy. This means keeping the life safety
features and essential systems in good working order.
The maintenance procedures for these systems are listed in a
compliance schedule issued by the council.
Once a year the property owner states on record that certain
required procedures have been followed. In order to do this the
property owner requires an independent third party to check and
verify that the above system are maintained and tested. We can do
this for you.
The Building Act
The Building Act 2004 was introduced to deal with the ongoing
safety of new and existing buildings. The Act outlines the new
safety regime for buildings with specialised building
systems.
A building that complies with all the systems within the Act, will
be issued a "Compliance Schedule" by the territorial authority. The
compliance schedule will outline inspection, maintenance and
reporting requirements. The purpose of the schedule is to ensure
current systems are in good working order.
When the territorial authority issues a compliance schedule, it
will also issue a "statement of fitness". At the end of 12 months
this statement is replaced by a Building Warrant of Fitness (WOF)
which is completed by the owner or representative.
The WOF is a prescribed form stating the requirements of the
compliance schedule have been satisfied. The WOF is an owners
statement that all the necessary maintenance and inspections have
been carried out in the previous 12 months.
To complete a Warrant of Fitness, an owner will previously have
had to engage appropriate "Independent Qualified Persons" (IQP) to
inspect the relevant systems and verify they met the requirements
of the compliance schedule.
Documentation in relation to the inspections must be held by the
owner and made available for examination by the Territorial
Authority.
An IQP is someone with particular skills in one or more of the
features above and who has been certified and registered by the
Territorial Authority as qualified to inspect and/or maintain
certain building systems within the authority's district.
